                                                                        About Daisy

Thank you for your interest in Daisies Place. I offer a loving, safe, and educational "home" based environment for your child to grow, learn and play. I have over 20 years of experience with children. My husband and I have four children of our own. Our oldest child is 19 and is a full time college student. We also have a 10 year old son and two daughters age 8 and 5. We have a busy, bubbling household in Wilson Borough, PA.

Along with caring for my own children, I have also worked with children of all ages in a variety of settings, including working in a childcare center, coaching T-ball, and volunteering within the local school district. I have also served as a volunteer for many community organizations, including Project Child & Meals on Wheels. In addition, I am the president of the Wilson Borough Elementary School PTA (parent - teacher association).

I have outstanding references, an FBI Fingerprint Background Clearance, a PA Child Abuse Clearance, and I am CPR and First Aid certified. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education and I attend child-related educational workshops year-round.

I understand how difficult it can be for working parents to balance all of the commitments and responsibilities in their lives. For this reason, I strive to create a safe and nurturing environment with programs that will enrich your child’s development while putting your mind at ease.

 Mission Statement

To provide families with high quality childcare, educational services, and the needed support to strengthen and improve their family’s quality of life.

Philosophy

It is my goal to provide a warm, loving, "home-like" environment for all children to grown and learn. I value using a holistic approach to help children develop to their fullest potential. I value all children as unique individuals and believe that successful learning takes place through exploration, discovery, and hands-on activities. I strive to provide opportunities for children to engage in activities which stimulate social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth through developmentally appropriate activities. I value parents as partners. I value collaboration with community agencies and the local school districts to increase children and family connections to additional learning opportunities and support within our community.
